The solidarity, mutual support, and the natural feeling of belonging together in a cross-generational community gives us a feeling of security. Division of tasks in kitchen, housekeeping, parenting and caring for the elderly not only lighten up everyday life but above all perpetuate this feeling of solidarity and belonging . The life experience of the elders , the joy of life of children that succeed us, and the zest for action of those who are in the middle of life complement each other to form a mosaic of human experience.

For us community means an inner feeling of belonging together, that is created through a similar involvement for a shared vision. A constantly growing number of people appreciates Höllbachhof  in a way of calling it " a second home". For them Höllbachhof is a place where new values, new behaviors and new ways of being together can playfully be explored.

At Höllbachhof living and therefore also working together is playing a central part in the community. We experience the shared work, beside the practical necessity, as a valuable possibility to cultivate awareness and presence. Working together and carrying the responsibility together gives us also the chance to get to know ourselves and the other  in a different way.
We want to share this opportunity with our guests and invite them therefore to an hour of work per day in the kitchen, garden, house or yard.

There is the possibility to receive an introduction into the japanese philosophy of "samu", meditative doing, if wished for. Samu originates from the spiritual praxis of Zen Buddhism.

The core of our community is formed by 7 adults who live and work together with 5 children and teenagers at Höllbachhof. Some of the members of the community are permanent residents and others are only part of the time at Höllbachhof. Together we get through the work that is arising in house and yard. Workingguests who live with. us for a while are supporting us, together with our national and international guests - they also bring variety and change in our communal Life.

As a working guest you are spending your time helping with the daily chores in the kitchen, garden, house and yard. But also trained office worker, handy men and women and passionate babysitters are welcome!

We are happy with long- and short term working guests.

Fulltime working guest
Working hours for a full-time working guest are 6 hours a day. Accommodation is provided for free, for food and electricity etc. Wee calculate expenses of 10 Euros a day. The kind of accommodation we can offer you depends on what else is going on  at Höllbachhof and how long you will stay.

Part time working guest
As a part time working guest the working hours per day are 3 hours. For food and accommodation we charge 50% of the regular price. Detailed information on request. From our heart we welcome every person that wants to spend time in the regenerating natural reserve area Hölle. We welcome people who want to get to know the place and the project, use Höllbachhof for a certain time as a place of retreat and re-orientation, And anyone who would like visit us to spend some time in our community.
